US State Dept. has lifted the Global Level 4 Health Advisory, which advised Americans to avoid international travel due to COVID-19

US State Dept.’s Advisory – Worldwide Caution:

As terrorist attacks, political violence (including demonstrations), criminal activities and other security incidents often take place without any warning, U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance and practice good situational awareness when traveling abroad.

US State Dept.’s Advisory for Germany – Level 3: Reconsider Travel:

Reconsider travel to Germany due to COVID‑19. Exercise increased caution in Germany due to terrorism.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Travel Health Notice for the Germany due to COVID-19.

Terrorist groups continue plotting possible attacks in Germany. Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, local government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, and other public areas.

Police have responded with water cannons, rubber bullets, and tear gas. The U.S. Embassy is advising official U.S. government travelers to avoid travel to Paris and other major cities in France on the weekends.
