Visiting historical museums in western Europe it is not unusual for me to see M1s on display and feel a sense of pride and awe thinking of the guys who hit the beaches in Normandy, on islands in the South Pacific, North Africa. Later sections of museums from Prague to Calais include images from the Apollo program in their coverage of the 1960s. Like many kids I built models of the Lunar Module, Command and Service Modules.
